Dover Town Code Description of Responsibilities

There shall be a three-member Board of Assessors elected on a rotating basis of one member each year for a three-year term in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 41, Section 24. The Board of Assessors’ duties and authority shall include, but shall not be limited to, those specified in MGL Chapter 58 and Chapter 59 and as specified in local options voted by Town Meeting. The Board of Assessors shall annually appoint a Town Assessor whose duties and authority shall include, but shall not be limited to, those specified in MGL Chapter 41, Sections 25A, 28.

The following valuation information reflects data used in the calculation of Dover's FY2026 tax rate of $11.19 and provided as a public service by the Dover Board of Assessors.  The assessment date for FY2026 was January 1, 2025 and including structural changes through June 30, 2025, using sales that occurred during calendar year 2024.

Valuation List

As of January 1, 2026 all certified abutters lists will be a flat fee of $50.00. Payment can be made by cash or check payable to the Town of Dover.
