Additionally, decisions on programming offered, and all hiring decisions for those programs, are made at least one full season prior to the start of any program or event.

Summer Program Counselor

  • Paid position
  • Must be a current resident of Dover, MA
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Require a commitment of working all six-consecutive program weeks, weekdays (M-F) from 8:30am-1:00pm.
    • These 6-weeks will typically begin on the last Monday in June.

NEW for 2022...

We will be hosting three separate, drop-in Open Applicant Events for all interested NEW Summer Counselor candidates!

  • THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10th anytime between 5:00 - 7:00pm
  • TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15th anytime between 5:00 - 7:00pm
  • WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd anytime between 3:30 - 5:30pm

Drop onto the Dover Parks & Recreation Office (located in the Caryl Community Center) for approximately 20-30 minutes during one of the three available days listed above for a casual chat with Dover P&R Directors about our Summer Counselor positions and all interested candidates will be offered an on-the-spot interview, streamlining a weeks-long process into one single visit!


PLEASE NOTE: In order to be considered for a summer 2022 counselor position, your completed application packet must be submitted to Nicole DiCicco (Assistant Director of Parks & Rec) NO LATER THAN 5:00pm ON THURSDAY, MARCH 31, 2022.
