Our summer, Leadership Training Program offers Dover resident high school students, ages 14+, an opportunity to learn about the day-to-day operations of a day camp: tips for working with children, ideas to help in leading activities with their peers, learning about the unique responsibilities of each staff position, and even meeting some of our program families to see first-hand how important their service is to our local community!
The Leadership Training Program was evolved from our past "summer volunteer/C.I.T." programs, and our goal of introducing students to the job market will remain the same. What has changed -significantly- is how we aim to help these future employed people develop skills that will help them excel in any future job or career, whether or not they choose to serves children and families, or not!
Look for updates on the Leadership Training Program for summer 2022 in the Dover Parks & Rec: Spring and Summer 2022 Program brochure, expected sometime in late-February/early-March!
