The Tree Warden reports to the Town Administrator who reports to the Board of Selectmen. Responsibilities include:
- The care and maintenance of shade and ornamental trees within the town right-of-ways
- The removal of dead or hazard trees within the town right-of-way
- Emergency removal of storm damaged trees
Dover Town Code Description of Responsibilities
There shall be a Tree Warden appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a three-year term. The Tree Warden’s duties and authority shall include, but shall not be limited to, those specified in Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 87, Section 2.
